I've been tagged by Kathleen and now I'm supposed to post six weird things about myself...oh, how will I ever narrow it down to only six? I've been told, several times, that I'm a little...more weird...than most folks. But okay. Here we go:
1. I don't like ice cream. In fact, I hate it. Nobody understands this one, not even me.
2. I love doing dishes by hand. I don't have a dishwasher, and when my husband and I build a house like we plan to do in the next few years, we aren't going to add one. Yes, it's messy, and yes, it takes almost an hour to do the dishes sometimes, but it's immensely satisfying to set aside such a large chunk of your busy day to veg out and do the dishes. It's like, I feel like...If I don't have enough time to do that, I need to readjust my schedule because it's too hectic.
3. I don't really like movies. One of my best friends told me there was a comedy sketch or something with someone joking that "One thing everybody has in common, is everyone likes movies. You'll never hear someone saying, "Man, I HATE movies", but that's pretty much what I'm saying. There are a handful of movies that I love (I could watch Marie Antoinette or The Nightmare Before Christmas thousands of times in a row) but in general, I feel like movies kind of waste my time. (I do, however, like TV, a LOT. What does this say for my attention span?)
4. I don't like Colette Peters. Well, I've never met her, but I don't like her work. This is strange becuase she is considered to be the most talented and famous cake decorater....ever, but her cakes are much too over-the-top and artificial looking for my taste. I prefer cakes that look delicious and edible, not like...the engine of a racecar or something. Don't even get me started on Ace of Cakes.
5. I buy fabric usually for no reason other to touch it. I'm totally obsessed with silk taffeta, and I can't afford to buy the quantities necessary to, say, make drapes for all the rooms in my home, so I buy a yard here and there just to take it out of my sewing basket every now and then and rustle it around and feel it. Are all of you thinking, this girl is just getting weirder by the minute!?!? Wait for number six!
6. I love, love LOVE animatronic robots. Like a total dork. I think it began a long time ago with our frequent trips to Disney World, and I could always ride the Carousel of Progress all day. Some of my other favorites, in no particular order, are Ted, the skeleton cowboy at Six Flags, The Country Bear Jamboree, and all the members of the Rockafire Explosion from Showbiz Pizza, back in the day. Fatz Geronimo, Mitzi Mozzerella? In fact, I'll leave you all with this, and then go tag some folks myself!
